A Day with Amos

We had the privilege of watching Amos for the day while his mom and dad celebrated their second wedding anniversary. The boys were very excited to get to spend the day with their newest cousin.

Micah also loves his cousin but is still unsure because he is so little. He loves to show him pictures and watch from a distance.

Cabin Weekend

Relaxing, what summer is all about.

We spent the weekend at the cabin with Grandma and Grandpa. On Friday, the boys spent the day building sand castles all over the the fire pit ring and the camera never came out. The rest of the weekend Bryce and Micah spent as much as they could playing foosball.

Matthew's activity of choice was playing Battle Ship.

Matthew also helped Grandpa assemble his new grill.
Reading the directions to Grandpa.

Here is the part you asked for Grandpa.

"Grandpa, we can't skip the step. I think this goes here," says Matthew.

Working to get the screw tight.

The boys went swimming and Micah picked up a slug. Grandpa took it off and put the slug on a fishing hook as bait. Matthew held the pole and the bobber went under. With Grandpa's help he pulled up a Large Mouth Bass.

On Sunday, Grandpa wanted to cut down a tree before it fell on the garage. Yet, it needed to be pulled away from the garage. So boys on the job to pull the tree over so Grandpa could safely cut it down.

Islands of Adventure (part 1)

Harry Potter World

The day finally arrived when the boys were able to go visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Excitement was running high as we made our way through the park. We stopped to take a few pictures as we walked through Seuss World. It was empty as everyone seemed to be going the same place we were first thing in the morning.

Walking into Harry Potter World

Greeted by the Conductor of the Hogwarts Express.

Exploring all the shops.

Hogwarts Castle.  The boys were in awe of everything they saw. They loved seeing the stair case to Dumbledore's office, as well as listening to him speak. Riding the Forbidden Journey was an awesome end to wondering through the castle.

It was fun finding the owls in the rafters and brooms in their racks. We took in the details that bring the books to life.

This was the first half of the day.
